Our Approach

At ESC, our programs are specifically designed to fit two things: your dog and your family. Why is this so unique? There are a few reasons:

1) We host in-home. Think of it as “Mi casa es tu casa.” We believe that dogs thrive in an environment where they feel comfortable and confident. Our programs are hosted in our family home with our pack, not in an offsite facility with concrete floors. Your dog lives as a family dog when they’re with us so that when they go back home, it’s easy.

2) The relationship starts in minute one. We start relationship-building from the first sniff. We spend the first day building trust, getting to know your dog’s distinct personality, and adjust plans to best fit them.

3) You tell us what’s important. Besides basic obedience and confidence, we want to help your dog find their place in your home and vice versa. Whether it’s as a service/therapy dog for a child or a companion to go on adventures with, we focus on priorities that are important to you.

4) You’re getting trained too. We’ve heard time and time again that an owner knew their dog got trained, yet when the dog came home, they couldn’t figure out why the dog wouldn’t listen or why they had “forgotten” what had been taught. At ESC, you are a part of the process, with one-on-one training with your pup every one-two weeks so you have the knowledge to continue their training when they come home.

We specialize in teaching dogs proper engagement through a NePoPo system of communication. We work intimately with our families throughout the training process to help everyone involved learn how to communicate with their canine counterparts and be successful. Wondering what the NePoPo system of training is all about? Contact us to learn more.

During his 6-week stay we received regular updates and videos showing Bear's progress. He quickly went from a wild puppy to a much more subdued version of himself. He now has manners and will sit or lay patiently by your side until it's time to play. And this boy loves to play! He's the epitome of a Golden Retriever… We can walk him around our neighborhood off-leash without worry of him running over to a jogger or another dog or a baby stroller… Hampton did a spectacular job meeting our needs and I wouldn't hesitate to send our next puppy his way. We can't wait to take Bear out to the dog park or local breweries to show off his skills!
